Carbon Neutral is a market leading carbon sequestration project originator, containing one Australia’s longest standing carbon offset projects, the Yarra Yarra Biodiversity Corridor. In FY23, Tiverton completed its full acquisition of the business, with the intent of expanding its operations from its home state of Western Australia, to the entirety of Australia and subsequently internationally. Noteworthy leadership appointments, geographic expansion, biodiversity commitment, collaborative partnerships, and financial success characterised the time since Tiverton;s acquisition. 

Carbon Neutral creates its own carbon sequestration projects and offers a carbon project origination services for third party landholders and investors, across a number of different carbon sequestration methodologies, including Reforestation by Environmental and Mallee Plantings (REMP), Soil Carbon, Human Induced Regeneration (HIR) and Eucalypt Plantation management.

Impact Highlight: At the end of its 2023 planting season,  approximately 4.1 million trees and shrubs will have been planted by Carbon Neutral for the season. This will bring the organisation's total to around 35 million trees and shrubs planted in the Yarra Yarra Biodiversity Corridor, a significant milestone. This process is designed to increase biodiversity and restore the region's heavily degraded landscape.

Carbon Neutral has also formalised key partnerships with Save the Children International, Odonata Foundation and Esperance Tjaltjraak Native Title Aboriginal Corporation, underpinning the organisation's commitment to high integrity projects that generate tangible positive social and environmental impacts.
